Ahead of its official local launch in the coming weeks, some of its crucial equipment specifications for the incoming 2016 Suzuki Baleno hatch have emerged on the company’s Australian website.
The page has two equipment levels for GL and GLX with some features that will come with the new hatchback, which has already made headlines. Yet to be confirmed are its price, transmission and engine specs, which will be declared most likely during the Suzuki Baleno’s Australian launch.
Undisclosed naturally-aspirated petrol engine will power the Suzuki Baleno GL. It will also get keyless entry, seven airbags, reversing camera, USB input, Bluetooth, a touch screen infotainment system with satellite navigation along with Apple Car Play compatibility, all as standard.
Moving up to the GLX variant, it gets a new ‘Boosterjet’ direct-injection turbocharged 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will apparently deliver an 82 kW of power and 170 Nm of torque. It will come with alloy wheels and keyless start.
In all likelihood, the base GL variant will be launched next to the starting price of the smaller swift hatchback $15,990 (on road costs extra).
